The short version

This box is a quick guide. The full terms below are what count.

  • Tasker is an app where you post a task for free and verified pros near you send offers with their own price. The pro does the job, not Tasker.
  • You choose which pro to hire. You pay that pro directly when the job is done, at the price you agreed. Tasker does not take, hold or pass on that money.
  • Customers pay Tasker nothing to post tasks, get offers, chat, call or hire. Tasker earns from pros who choose a paid pro plan.
  • Phone numbers, emails and links are hidden in chat until you hire. Only the pro you hire gets your exact address.
  • Give the pro your 4-digit start code only when they have arrived and you are ready for work to begin.
  • If something goes wrong, tap Report a problem on the job. Our staff will look at it, but they cannot refund or move job money, because Tasker never holds it.
  • Aria, the assistant in the app, only prepares things. Nothing is posted, booked or paid until you tap Approve.
  • In an emergency, call 112 or, in Lagos, 767. Tasker is not an emergency service.

Details still to be added

Some company details are not final yet. They are shown on this page in highlighted brackets and will be filled in before launch:

  • [Company legal name]: the registered company that runs Tasker.
  • [RC number]: its Corporate Affairs Commission registration number.
  • [Registered address]: its registered office address in Nigeria.

1. About Tasker and these terms

1.1 These Terms of Service ("terms") are a legal agreement between you and [Company legal name], a company registered in Nigeria with number [RC number] and its registered office at [Registered address]. In these terms, "Tasker", "we", "us" and "our" mean that company. "You" means the person using Tasker.

1.2 Tasker is a mobile app that helps people in Nigeria get jobs done at home, at work or on the road. A customer posts a task, verified independent service providers ("pros") nearby send offers with their own price, and the customer chooses one to hire. The app also has an assistant called Aria and some services provided by partners, such as flights, airtime and bill payments. We are starting in Lagos. This website only tells you about Tasker. Posting tasks, offers, chat, calls and payments for pro plans all happen in the Tasker app.

1.3 These terms apply whenever you use the Tasker app, this website, our support channels or any other service that links to these terms (together, "Tasker" or "the service"). They apply to customers and to pros. Section 40 contains extra terms that apply only to pros.

1.4 You accept these terms when you create a Tasker account, or when you tick the box or tap the button in the app that says you agree. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the app.

1.5 These terms work together with:

  • our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data;
  • the rules, limits and timings shown in the app at the time you use a feature, such as how long a task stays open, how many photos you can add, or the price and offer allowance of a pro plan; and
  • any extra terms for a partner service (see section 26), which you will see and accept before you use that service.

1.6 If these terms and a rule shown in the app for a specific task, job or purchase disagree, the rule shown to you at that time applies to that task, job or purchase, unless it reduces a right the law gives you.

1.7 We wrote these terms in plain English so that you can follow them. Headings and the short version at the top are only there to help you find your way. They do not change the meaning of the full text.

2. Words we use

2.1 In these terms:

  • Customer means a person who uses Tasker to post a task and hire a pro.
  • Pro means an independent person or business that offers services through Tasker.
  • Task means a description of a job a customer posts in the app, with its photos, area, day and time, urgency and optional budget range.
  • Budget range means the rough guide a customer may add to a task. It is the customer's own guide. It is not a price set or recommended by Tasker.
  • Offer means a pro's answer to a task in the app, with the pro's own price, when they can come and a message.
  • Hire means the customer choosing one offer in the app. Hiring turns the task into a job between that customer and that pro.
  • Agreed price means the price in the offer the customer hired, or a different price both sides later agree in the app chat.
  • Start code means the 4-digit code the customer gives the pro so that the job can start in the app.
  • Job done means the button the customer taps in the app to confirm a job is finished.
  • Report a problem means the option on a job, task, offer or profile that sends a concern to Tasker staff. A report about a job opens a dispute.
  • Pro plan means the Free, Pro or Business plan a pro uses, and offer allowance means the number of offers a plan lets a pro send each calendar month.
  • Aria means the assistant in the Tasker app, and a Ready card means a prepared task, purchase or booking that Aria shows you for approval.
  • Partner service means a service in the Tasker app that a third party provides, such as flights, airtime, data, bills, gift cards or crypto (see section 26).
  • Wallet means the Tasker wallet described in section 27.

3. Who can use Tasker

3.1 You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Nigerian law to create an account or use Tasker. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to have an account.

3.2 Tasker is for use in Nigeria. Tasks can only be posted in the areas shown in the app, starting with Lagos. Partner services may have their own limits on where and by whom they can be used.

3.3 You may only have one Tasker account. The same account can be used as a customer and, once you complete pro verification, as a pro.

3.4 If you use Tasker for a business (for instance, to hire cleaners for an office, or as a pro business with staff), you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that business. You and the business are both bound by them.

3.5 You may not use Tasker if we have previously suspended or closed your account for breaking these terms, unless we have agreed in writing that you can come back.

Back to top

4. Your account and keeping it safe

4.1 You sign in to Tasker with your Nigerian phone number and a one-time code we send to you by SMS. You may also add an email address. You must use a phone number that belongs to you and that you control.

4.2 You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. This includes your name, phone number and, for pros, your identity details, services and the areas you cover.

4.3 You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your phone locked and do not share one-time codes with anyone. Tasker staff will never ask you for your one-time code, your card PIN or your bank password. Anyone who asks for these is not from Tasker.

4.4 You can see the devices signed in to your account in the app and sign them out. If you think someone else has used your account, or you lose your phone or SIM card, tell us at once through the app or at support@tasker.ng. We may lock your account while we check, to protect you.

4.5 If you change your phone number, update it in the app before you give up the old SIM. If a network recycles a phone number and a new person gets it, we may ask for extra checks before giving access to the account linked to that number.

4.6 Tasker staff accounts are for our own team and are not available to the public. You must not try to get access or permissions you are not entitled to.

4.7 You may not sell, transfer or lend your account to another person. Pros must not let someone else send offers or do jobs under their account (see section 40).

5. What Tasker does and does not do

5.1 Tasker runs an online marketplace. We provide the app that lets customers post tasks, lets verified pros send offers, lets both sides chat and call, lets the customer hire a pro and follow the job, and lets both sides leave reviews and report problems. We also check pros' identity before they can send offers, and our staff look at reports.

5.2 Tasker does not provide the services that pros offer. When a customer hires a pro, the contract for the job itself (for instance, fixing your AC or cleaning your flat) is between the customer and the pro. The pro is responsible for doing the work properly, safely and lawfully, and the customer is responsible for paying the pro.

5.3 Tasker is not a party to the payment for a job. The customer pays the pro directly, in cash, by bank transfer or in another way the two of them agree. Tasker does not collect, hold, release or refund job payments, and does not take any part of the agreed price. The app records the agreed price on the job so that both sides have the same record.

5.4 Customers pay Tasker nothing for posting tasks, getting offers, chatting, calling or hiring. Tasker earns money from pros who choose a paid pro plan (see section 18) and from purchases of partner services where the app shows it.

5.5 Pros are independent contractors. They are not Tasker's employees, agents, partners or representatives. Pros decide which tasks to send offers on, what price to offer, when they work and how they do the work, within the rules in these terms and the law.

5.6 Tasker does not supervise or control how pros carry out each job. We do not promise that any task will receive an offer, that a pro will be available at the time you want, or that a pro's price will suit you. We do commit to the things these terms say we will do, including checking pros' identity before they can send offers, keeping contact details hidden before a hire, keeping your exact address from pros you have not hired, and looking at reports fairly.

5.7 Tasker is not a bank, a payment service provider or a mobile money operator. Payments for pro plans, partner services and the wallet are processed by Paystack and other licensed payment partners, and any money behind wallet balances is held with licensed partners (see section 27).

6. Posting a task

6.1 To post a task, you describe the job in your own words, add photos if you can, choose or confirm the service, pin where the job is, and pick a day, a time window and how urgent it is. You may add a rough budget range. The app may suggest a service for your task. You can change the suggestion before you post.

6.2 The number of photos you can add, how long a task stays open and how many open tasks you can have at once are shown in the app. At the date of these terms, you can add up to 6 photos, a task stays open for 7 days unless you hire someone or close it first, and you can have up to 5 open tasks at a time. We may change these limits, and the app always shows the current ones.

6.3 When you post a task, Tasker tells verified pros who offer that service and work near the place you pinned. At the date of these terms, we tell pros within about 10 km. If no pro has sent an offer after 2 hours, we ask pros further away, up to about 20 km, and tell you we have done so. You can also choose to look further yourself. Distances and times may change and are shown in the app.

6.4 Pros who see your task before you hire see the area, the day and time, the urgency, the budget range if you gave one, your description and your photos. They do not see your exact address or your phone number.

6.5 Describe the job honestly and completely: what is wrong or what you need, how big the job is, any brand or model, access issues, pets, and any hazards the pro should know about. A clear task gets offers that are closer to the real job.

6.6 Do not put your phone number, email, exact address, social media handles or links in a task. The app hides these automatically and flags them for our staff. Do not post photos that show people's faces, identity documents, bank cards, house numbers or anything else private that a pro does not need to see.

6.7 You can edit a task while it is open, and close it at any time before you hire. If you close a task, pros who sent offers are told. A task that is not hired or closed ends automatically when its open period runs out.

6.8 Posting a task is an invitation for pros to make offers. It does not bind you to hire anyone, and you can post a task without knowing what the job will cost.

6.9 We may hide or remove a task that breaks these terms or the law, or that our staff reasonably believe is fake, unsafe or a scam. We will tell you why where we can.

Back to top

7. Offers from pros

7.1 Only pros who have passed our identity checks can send offers. A pro can send one offer on each task. An offer shows the pro's own price in naira, when they can come and a message about how they would do the job. The app also shows the pro's rating, reviews, distance and the number of jobs they have done on Tasker.

7.2 The price in an offer is set by the pro, not by Tasker. Tasker does not set, recommend, approve or check job prices. Compare offers, read reviews and ask questions in the chat before you choose.

7.3 An offer should say what the price covers: for instance, whether it includes parts or materials, transport, or a second visit. If an offer does not say, ask the pro in the chat before you hire.

7.4 A pro can change or withdraw their offer until the customer hires someone. Once you hire, the offer you chose is fixed as the agreed price, unless you and the pro later agree a change in the app chat (see section 12).

7.5 You do not have to accept any offer. Offers you do not choose end when you hire another pro, close the task or the task ends.

Back to top

8. Chat and calls in the app

8.1 A customer can chat with, send photos to, and make voice and video calls to any pro who has sent an offer on their task. After a hire, the customer and the hired pro can keep using chat and calls for the job. Use these tools only for matters connected with a task or a job.

8.2 Before a hire, phone numbers, email addresses and links (including messaging links) typed into tasks, offers or chat are hidden automatically and the message is flagged for our staff. This protects customers from unwanted contact and keeps the offer process fair. After the hire, chat between the customer and the hired pro is not masked, so you can share what you need for the job, such as directions.

8.3 Voice and video calls go through the Tasker app, using LiveKit communication software that runs on our servers. Calls never show either side's phone number. Calls are not recorded. We keep a record of call details (the time, how long the call lasted and who took part), which we may use to look at reports and keep Tasker safe.

8.4 Chat messages and photos are stored on Tasker's servers. We do not read your chats as a matter of routine. Authorised staff may look at the chat for a task or job when we need to, such as to look at a report or a dispute, to look into a safety or fraud concern, to review a message flagged by masking, or when the law requires it.

8.5 You must not use chat or calls to harass, threaten or insult anyone, to send unwanted sexual content, or to get around the masking of contact details before a hire.

Back to top

9. Choosing and hiring a pro

9.1 When you are ready, choose an offer and tap to hire that pro. The app shows you a summary of the task, the time, the agreed price and how you will pay the pro before you confirm.

9.2 When you hire, a contract for the job is formed between you and the pro, on the terms of the offer and anything else you both agreed in the app chat. Tasker is not a party to that contract.

9.3 You can hire one pro for each task. When you hire, the other pros who sent offers are told the task is taken, and their offers end.

9.4 When you hire, the app gives the hired pro your exact address and gives you a 4-digit start code. Only the hired pro gets your address.

9.5 The job then moves through these steps in the app: hired, on the way, started, finished and done. Both sides can see where the job is.

Back to top

10. The address, the start code and the work

10.1 The hired pro may use your address only to come to the job. They must not share it or use it for anything else (see section 40).

10.2 When the pro arrives and you are ready for work to begin, give the pro the start code. The pro enters it in the app to start the job. This confirms that the pro shown in the app is with you and that the job has started.

10.3 Do not share the start code before the pro arrives, and only give it to the pro shown in the app. If someone other than that pro turns up, do not give them the code, do not let them in, and contact us through the app. After 5 wrong attempts, the start code is locked for safety and you or the pro should contact support.

10.4 If the pro arrives and finds that the job is different from what the task described (for instance, three rooms instead of one), the pro must explain this in the app chat before doing any extra work. Any change to the price or the work must be agreed by both of you in the app chat first, so that there is a record. If you do not agree, the pro may do only the work in the offer you hired, or either of you may cancel under section 13.

10.5 If the job needs parts or materials that the agreed price does not cover, the pro must tell you what they are and what they cost in the app chat, and wait for you to agree before buying or fitting them. Where possible, the pro should share a photo of the part and the receipt in the chat. You may choose to supply your own parts. If you do, the pro is not responsible for faults in those parts.

10.6 Parts may come with a manufacturer's or seller's warranty. Any such warranty is between you and the manufacturer or seller. Tasker does not give a warranty on parts or on the pro's work.

Back to top

11. Finishing a job: Job done

11.1 When the pro has finished, they mark the job as finished in the app. Check the work. If you are satisfied, tap Job done.

11.2 If you are not satisfied, do not tap Job done. Tell the pro in the chat first, and if that does not fix it, use Report a problem (see section 14).

11.3 If the pro marks the job as finished and you do not tap Job done or report a problem, the job is marked done automatically after 48 hours. The app shows the current period. This rule keeps job records and reviews up to date when a customer forgets to respond. A job being marked done does not take away your rights against the pro under the law, and you can still report a problem for 7 days afterwards.

11.4 Tapping Job done, or a job being marked done automatically, is a record in the app. It does not move any money, because Tasker does not hold the payment for the job.

Back to top

12. Paying the pro

12.1 You pay the pro directly for the job, at the agreed price, when the job is done, unless the two of you agree a different arrangement in the app chat. You can pay in cash, by bank transfer to the pro's own account, or in any other lawful way you both agree.

12.2 Tasker is not a party to that payment. We do not collect it, hold it, pass it on, guarantee it or refund it, and we do not charge either side anything on it. Any dispute about payment for a job is between the customer and the pro, although you can still report it to us (see section 14).

12.3 The app records the agreed price on the job. If you and the pro agree a different price in the chat, such as for extra work or parts, that agreement in the chat is the record. Keep your own receipts and transfer confirmations.

12.4 To protect yourself:

  • pay when the work is done and you have checked it, not before;
  • if a pro needs money for parts or materials before the job, agree the amount and what it is for in the app chat, and ask for a receipt;
  • pay into an account in the pro's own name or their business name as shown in the app;
  • never send money to someone who contacts you outside the app claiming to be from Tasker or from a pro; and
  • report any pro who asks for a large payment upfront, asks for more than the agreed price without agreeing it in the chat, or asks you to pay someone else.

12.5 Customers must pay the agreed price for work done as agreed. A customer who refuses to pay for work done as agreed may be reported by the pro, and repeated cases may lead to action under section 32.

12.6 The app may in future offer a way to pay a pro through the app. If it does, we will explain how it works, who handles the money and any charges before you use it, and these terms will be updated.

Back to top

13. Cancellations, time changes and no-shows

Before you hire

13.1 You can close a task at any time before you hire, at no charge. A pro can change or withdraw their offer at any time before the hire.

After the hire

13.2 Either the customer or the pro can cancel a job in the app before it has started with the start code, and must give a reason. Tasker does not charge a fee for cancelling, because Tasker takes no money for jobs. If a pro has already travelled or bought materials at the customer's request, the two of you should settle any fair cost between yourselves in the chat.

13.3 After a job has started with the start code, it cannot be cancelled in the app. If the job cannot be finished, use Report a problem and our staff will look at what happened.

Changing the time

13.4 Either side can ask to change the time of a job in the app. The change only applies if the other side accepts it in the app.

No-shows

13.5 If the pro does not arrive at the agreed time and has not agreed a new time with you in the app, you can cancel the job and report a no-show. If the customer is not at the address at the agreed time and the pro has tried to reach them through the app chat and in-app call, the pro can report a no-show.

Things outside anyone's control

13.6 If a job cannot go ahead because of something neither side could reasonably control, such as a flood, road closure, a public order or serious unrest, either side may cancel without it counting against them.

13.7 Pros or customers who cancel often, cancel without good reason, or do not show up may lose ranking, receive a warning, or be suspended. We may look at app records, chat, call records and the job's timeline to decide what happened.

Back to top

14. Report a problem and how we handle it

14.1 If something goes wrong with a job, the fastest way to fix it is often to talk to the other person in the app chat.

14.2 If that does not work, either the customer or the pro can tap Report a problem on the job. You can do this while the job is live, or up to 7 days after it is marked done. You can say what went wrong (such as a no-show, unfinished work, a price change you did not agree, damage, safety, or not being paid), add details and attach photos. You can also report a task, an offer, a message or a profile at any time.

14.3 A person from Tasker support reads every report. When we look at a dispute, we may:

  • ask both sides for their account and any evidence, such as photos, videos, receipts and transfer confirmations;
  • look at the task, the offer, the chat messages and photos, call times and durations, the start code record and the job's timeline;
  • give each side a fair chance to respond; and
  • tell both sides our outcome in the app.

14.4 Because Tasker does not hold job money, our staff do not make decisions about money for a job. We cannot order a refund, take money from a pro or pay a pro. What we can do is:

  • record the job as done or cancelled, or let it carry on;
  • help the two sides agree a fair outcome, such as the pro coming back to fix the work or the price being adjusted;
  • warn, limit, suspend or close the account of a person who has broken these terms;
  • hide or remove a review linked to the dispute where these terms allow it (see section 15); and
  • give you a copy of the job record, chat and photos so that you can take the matter further, and share records with the police or a regulator where the law allows or requires it.

14.5 If you disagree with how we handled a report, you can ask for a review in the app or by emailing support@tasker.ng within 7 days. Explain why and include any new evidence. A different member of staff, who was not involved before, will look at it. We aim to reply within 14 days.

14.6 Our report process is a quick way to deal with problems on Tasker. It is not a court and it does not decide your legal rights. Nothing in it stops a customer from making a claim against a pro, or a pro against a customer, or from complaining to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, the police or a court (see section 37).

14.7 We aim to be fair to customers and pros. We may refuse to deal with a report that is plainly false, abusive or made to get something for free, and we may take action against accounts that make such reports.

Back to top

15. Reviews and ratings

15.1 After a job is marked done, the customer can rate and review the pro, and the pro can rate the customer. Reviews can only be left for real jobs hired through the app.

15.2 Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience of that job. You must not:

  • post a review for a job you were not part of;
  • offer or accept money, discounts or favours in exchange for a review, or for removing one;
  • threaten to leave a bad review to get a lower price or extra work;
  • review yourself, a friend or a relative, or a competitor; or
  • include personal data (such as a phone number or address), insults, hate speech or threats in a review.

15.3 We do not edit reviews to make them more positive, and we do not remove fair negative reviews. We may hide or remove a review that breaks these terms or the law, or that our staff find to be unfair after looking at a report. We may also show a pro's overall rating, number of jobs done and other figures worked out from jobs on Tasker.

15.4 Ratings affect how offers are ordered (see section 19) and may affect whether a pro can keep using Tasker. Customers with very low ratings, or a pattern of unfair behaviour towards pros, may also have their account reviewed.

Back to top

16. Your responsibilities as a customer

16.1 When you post a task and hire a pro through Tasker, you agree to:

  • describe the job honestly and completely, as set out in section 6;
  • only post tasks you really intend to have done;
  • give the correct address and be available, or have a responsible adult available, at the agreed time;
  • give the pro safe and reasonable access to the place where the work will happen, and to water, electricity or anything else the job needs, unless you agreed otherwise;
  • treat pros with respect and keep them safe while they work at your premises;
  • agree any change to the price or the work in the app chat;
  • pay the pro the agreed price for work done as agreed;
  • tap Job done when the work is finished to your reasonable satisfaction, or report a problem if it is not; and
  • follow the law and these terms.

16.2 You must not ask a pro to do anything illegal, unsafe, or outside what you agreed, unless you agree it with the pro in the app chat first.

16.3 You are responsible for protecting your own valuables, cash and private documents while a pro is at your premises.

16.4 If the job needs something only you can arrange, such as permission from your landlord, estate or building manager, it is your responsibility to arrange it before the pro arrives.

Back to top

17. Your responsibilities as a pro (summary)

17.1 Pros must follow everything in section 40 (Additional terms for pros). In short, pros must:

  • complete our verification checks honestly and keep their details up to date;
  • only send offers for work they have the skills, licences, tools and time to do;
  • make clear, honest offers and keep to the agreed price unless the customer agrees a change in the app chat;
  • hold any licence, permit or qualification the law requires for the work they offer;
  • have insurance where the law or the nature of the work requires it;
  • do the work with reasonable care and skill, in a reasonable time, and as agreed;
  • behave professionally and respectfully, and protect customers' personal data;
  • not try to get customers' contact details before a hire; and
  • pay their own taxes.

Back to top

18. Pro plans and offer allowances

18.1 Joining Tasker as a pro is free, and every verified pro starts on the Free plan. Pros who want to send more offers or be shown more prominently can choose a paid plan. The plans, their prices, offer allowances and features are shown in the app, and on our Become a pro page, before you pay. At the date of these terms there are three plans:

  • Free: 5 offers a month, an ID-verified badge, and chat and calls in the app.
  • Pro: a monthly price, 20 offers a month, a Featured label on your offers and a higher place in Best match.
  • Business: a monthly price, unlimited offers, a Featured label on your offers, a spotlight on the customer home screen and insights on your offers.

18.2 Each new offer you send uses one offer from your allowance. Changing an offer you already sent does not use another one, but an offer you withdraw still counts. Allowances reset at the start of each calendar month, Lagos time. Unused offers do not carry over to the next month and have no cash value.

18.3 You pay for a paid plan in the app through Paystack, by card, bank transfer, USSD or another method shown at checkout. Your bank or payment provider may have its own terms and charges. Tasker does not see or store your full card number.

18.4 Each payment covers one plan period of 30 days. If you move up to a higher plan, the new plan starts as soon as your payment succeeds. If you renew the plan you already have, the new period starts when your current period ends. The app shows what you are paying for, and when it starts and ends, before you pay.

18.5 We do not take money from your card or account automatically. A plan only renews if you pay for the next period, unless you choose to switch on automatic renewal in the app where we offer it. We remind you in the app 3 days before your plan ends, and tell you when it has ended. When a paid plan ends and is not renewed, your account moves back to the Free plan and keeps your profile, reviews and history.

18.6 You can cancel a paid plan at any time. If automatic renewal is off, cancelling simply means not paying for the next period. If you have switched automatic renewal on, you can switch it off in the app at any time before the renewal date, and you will not be charged again. Either way, your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.

18.7 A plan's features start as soon as you pay, so we do not refund part of a period you have paid for if you stop using it early. We will refund you in full to your payment method if you were charged twice or charged in error, and we will give a fair refund for the unused part of a period if we close Tasker, close your account without a breach on your part, or cannot provide the plan's main features for a significant part of the period because of a fault on our side. This does not limit any refund right you have under the law.

18.8 We may change plan prices, allowances or features. We will tell you at least 14 days before a price increase or a reduction in a plan's features takes effect. A change does not affect a period you have already paid for.

18.9 Where the law requires us to charge value added tax (VAT) or any other tax on a plan, it will be included in or added to the price and shown before you pay.

18.10 A paid plan does not guarantee that you will be hired, does not let you skip verification, and does not change your reviews or ratings. Paid placement is always shown to customers with a Featured or spotlight label (see section 19).

18.11 Paid plans can only be bought when payments are switched on in the app. Until then, the app shows paid plans as not active and every pro uses the Free plan.

19. How offers are ordered

19.1 Customers can sort the offers on a task by Best match, lowest price, nearest or top rated. Best match is the order the app shows first.

19.2 Best match takes into account the pro's rating, the number of reviews, the distance from the task, how quickly the pro usually replies, and a boost for pros on a paid plan. Offers that get a boost from a paid plan carry a Featured label, so customers can always tell. Pros on the Business plan may also appear in a spotlight on the customer home screen, which is labelled too.

19.3 We do not accept payment to change a pro's rating or reviews, and paid plans do not hide or push down other pros' offers in the lowest price, nearest or top rated sorts.

19.4 We may adjust how Best match works to keep it useful and fair. We will keep this section up to date with the main factors.

20. Your content and content rules

20.1 "Your content" means anything you add to Tasker, such as profile photos, tasks, task photos, offers, chat messages, photos of work, reviews, documents and messages to Aria.

20.2 You keep ownership of your content. You give Tasker a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display and use your content, in Nigeria and elsewhere, for as long as needed to run Tasker, provide support, look at reports, keep the platform safe and meet our legal duties. For tasks, offers, reviews and pro profiles, this licence includes showing them to other users as these terms describe. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data in your content.

20.3 When you upload a photo, the app makes a new copy of it and removes hidden details such as the camera's location. Photos are only shown to the people who need to see them, through links that expire after a short time.

20.4 You promise that you have the right to share your content and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.

20.5 You must not upload or send content that:

  • is false, misleading or fraudulent;
  • is abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful or discriminatory, including on grounds of ethnicity, religion, sex, disability or place of origin;
  • is sexually explicit, or shows or encourages violence;
  • contains someone else's personal data without a good reason connected with the task or job;
  • infringes copyright, trade marks or other rights;
  • contains viruses, spam, chain messages or links to scams; or
  • promotes illegal products or services.

20.6 We may hide or remove content that breaks these rules and take action under section 32.

21. Safety

21.1 Tasker is not an emergency service. If you or anyone else is in danger, call the national emergency number 112. In Lagos, you can also call the Lagos State emergency number 767. Contact Tasker only after you are safe.

21.2 Use common sense when you hire or work through Tasker:

  • check that the pro or customer you meet matches the name and photo in the app;
  • only give the start code to the pro shown in the app;
  • keep valuables out of sight;
  • for jobs at home, consider having someone else present, especially the first time you use a pro;
  • pay only once the work is done, and only to the pro you hired; and
  • if you feel unsafe at any point, leave or ask the other person to leave, and contact us.

21.3 Pros may refuse to start or continue a job if they reasonably believe it is unsafe, such as because of dangerous wiring, aggressive behaviour or a hazard that was not disclosed. They should explain why in the app.

21.4 You can report a safety concern about any user at any time in the app or by emailing support@tasker.ng. We take reports seriously and may suspend an account while we look into them. Where there may have been a crime, we encourage you to report it to the Nigeria Police Force. We will cooperate with the police and other authorities where the law allows or requires it.

22. Prohibited services and conduct

22.1 You must not use Tasker to offer, request or arrange:

  • anything illegal under Nigerian law;
  • weapons, ammunition, explosives, illegal drugs or controlled substances;
  • sexual or adult services of any kind;
  • medical, nursing or pharmaceutical services that require a licence the pro does not hold;
  • work that by law needs a licensed or registered professional (such as some electrical, gas or structural work) unless the pro holds that licence or registration;
  • debt collection, security guard services or anything that involves force or threats;
  • removal of items that the customer does not have the right to move or sell; or
  • any service that puts people, animals or property at serious risk.

22.2 You must not:

  • create fake accounts, use someone else's identity or give false information;
  • post fake tasks, or send offers you do not intend to honour;
  • use Tasker to commit fraud, launder money or finance terrorism;
  • discriminate against any user because of their ethnicity, religion, sex, disability, age or place of origin;
  • harass, threaten, assault or abuse any user or Tasker staff member;
  • damage, steal or misuse property at a job location;
  • copy, scrape or collect data from the app or website using automated tools;
  • interfere with, test the security of, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
  • use bots or scripts to post tasks, send offers or messages, or use Aria; or
  • use Tasker in any way that breaks the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015 (as amended in 2024) or any other law.

22.3 We may remove tasks and offers, cancel jobs and take action under section 32 if we reasonably believe you have broken this section. We may also report suspected crimes to the authorities.

Back to top

23. Contact details and dealing outside the app

23.1 Before a hire, customers and pros must keep their conversation in the app. You must not share or ask for phone numbers, emails, social media handles or links in tasks, offers or pre-hire chat, or try to get around the masking (for instance, by writing numbers as words). This keeps customers safe from unwanted contact and keeps the offer process fair for every pro.

23.2 Pros must not use a task, an offer or pre-hire chat to steer a customer away from Tasker before the customer has hired them.

23.3 After a hire, you are free to share what you need for the job. If you later arrange more work directly with a person you met on Tasker, that is your choice, but Tasker will have no record of it: it will not have a start code, reviews or our report process, and these terms will not cover it.

23.4 Repeated attempts to get around masking may lead to warnings, limits on your account or suspension.

Back to top

24. Pro verification and its limits

24.1 Before a pro can send offers, they must complete our checks. These include confirming their National Identification Number (NIN), a selfie that is compared with the photo held for that NIN, and proof of their trade or experience, such as photos of past work, a certificate or a reference. A member of our staff reviews each case. Pros who pass get an ID-verified badge in the app. The details of our checks may change over time.

24.2 Some checks are carried out with the help of an identity verification provider (currently Dojah), using official records where these are available. Verification data is encrypted and handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

24.3 Our checks reduce risk, but they cannot remove it. An ID check confirms that a person is who they say they are at the time of the check. It does not mean that we guarantee a pro's honesty, skill or future behaviour, or that we have checked criminal records unless the app says so. Ratings and reviews from other customers can help you decide.

24.4 We may repeat checks, ask for more information, or remove a pro's badge and ability to send offers if we have concerns.

25. Aria, the assistant in the app

25.1 Aria is the assistant inside the Tasker app. You can tell her what you need in plain words, by typing or by voice. She can prepare a task to post, a flight, airtime or data, an electricity or TV bill payment, an event ticket and similar items, and show it to you as a Ready card. She fills in details from your profile, such as your name, phone number, saved passengers and area.

25.2 Aria never acts on her own. Nothing is posted, booked, bought or paid until you check the Ready card and tap Approve. You can edit a card or ignore it. A card that is not approved expires after a short time (currently 30 minutes), and prices on a card can change before you approve it.

25.3 When you tap Approve, Tasker carries out what the card shows: it posts the task, or places the order with the partner and takes the payment from your wallet or by card checkout. Check the details on every card before you approve, especially names, dates, phone numbers, meter numbers and amounts. You are responsible for what you approve.

25.4 Aria uses an artificial intelligence model from a provider we work with (currently Anthropic) when that feature is switched on, and a simpler built-in helper when it is not. Like any such tool, she can misunderstand you or get things wrong. Her answers are not legal, medical, financial or professional advice.

25.5 To protect you, Aria cannot send money to other people, never sees your card numbers, and has daily limits on the number of actions and the amount she can prepare for payment. Every Ready card and every approval is logged.

25.6 Do not share passwords, card numbers, PINs or one-time codes with Aria, and do not use her for anything that breaks section 22.

Back to top

26. Partner services

26.1 The Tasker app offers some services that are provided by third parties ("partners"). A partner service only works once it is switched on. Until then, the app shows it as not active. At the date of these terms, the partners are:

  • Flights: Wakanow for flights within Nigeria and Duffel for international flights. Tickets are issued by the airline, and the airline's conditions of carriage and fare rules apply.
  • Airtime, data, electricity and TV: VTpass, which passes the order to the network, the electricity distribution company or the TV provider.
  • Gift cards: Reloadly.
  • Crypto: Quidax, a digital asset exchange registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria. Quidax provides this service under its own terms. Tasker does not hold, store or control your crypto.
  • Payments: Paystack, which processes card, bank transfer and USSD payments in the app.
  • Event tickets: tickets for events listed in the app by their organisers. The organiser is responsible for the event itself.

26.2 Each partner service may have its own terms, fees and, where relevant, risk warnings. Where it does, you will see them and must accept them before you use that service. If a partner's terms conflict with these terms on a matter that concerns the partner service, the partner's terms apply to that matter.

26.3 When you buy a partner service in the app, you pay Tasker through Paystack or from your wallet, and Tasker places the order with the partner for you. The app shows the total, including any charge, before you pay or approve. If the partner cannot complete the order, we refund you in full to the card or wallet you paid from.

26.4 Once a partner has delivered an order (for instance, airtime has been sent, an electricity token issued or a ticket issued), it usually cannot be reversed. Check phone numbers, meter numbers, smartcard numbers, passenger names and dates carefully. Flight changes and refunds follow the fare rules of the ticket and are handled through the partner.

26.5 The partner is responsible for providing its service and for any licence it needs. Tasker's role is to show the partner service in the app, pass on your order and help with support. We will tell you which partner provides each service.

26.6 Crypto prices can rise and fall sharply, and you could lose some or all of the money you put in. Crypto is not protected in the same way as money in a bank. Only buy crypto if you understand these risks. Nothing in the Tasker app is investment advice.

26.7 Partner services may only be available to some users, or may need extra identity checks. We may add, change or stop offering a partner service. If we stop one, we will give you reasonable notice where we can, and we will work with the partner so that you can get any money or assets you hold with that partner.

Back to top

27. The Tasker wallet

27.1 The Tasker wallet shows a naira balance you can use for partner services and event tickets in the app. Money can come into your wallet from refunds of partner purchases, from selling crypto through Quidax, from another Tasker user, or by adding money, where those features are switched on.

27.2 Every wallet movement is recorded in our ledger, and you can see your activity in the app. The money behind wallet balances is held with licensed payment and banking partners, not in Tasker's own name as a deposit. A wallet balance is not a bank account, does not earn interest and is not covered by deposit insurance.

27.3 Where the app allows it, you can send money from your wallet to another Tasker user by their phone number, and withdraw your balance to a bank account in your own name. Check the recipient before you send. We cannot reverse a transfer you made to the wrong person, but we will help where we can. Limits apply to adding, sending and withdrawing money and are shown in the app. We may ask for identity checks before you can use some wallet features or higher limits.

27.4 The wallet is not part of the job process. If you choose to pay a pro from your wallet, that is a transfer you make to them like any other, and it does not make Tasker a party to the job. We cannot reverse a wallet transfer because of a complaint about a job.

27.5 We may pause a wallet or a transaction where we reasonably suspect fraud, where a partner or regulator requires it, or where the law requires it, and we may report suspicious activity to the authorities. We will tell you if we pause your wallet unless the law does not allow it.

27.6 Before you close your account, withdraw or spend your wallet balance. If you cannot, contact support and we will help you get it back, after any checks the law requires.

Back to top

28. Other third-party services

28.1 Tasker relies on other companies to work, such as Termii for SMS codes and messages, Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications and incoming call alerts, Dojah for identity checks, mapping services, hosting providers and app stores. When you use their features, their terms may also apply. If you download the app from an app store, the store's terms apply to the download.

28.2 We choose these providers with care, but we are not responsible for services we do not control, except where these terms or the law say otherwise.

28.3 The app or website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

Back to top

29. Intellectual property

29.1 Tasker, the Tasker logo, Aria, the app, this website, and their design, text, graphics and software belong to us or the people who license them to us. They are protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws.

29.2 Apart from the licence in section 30, these terms do not give you any right to use our name, logo, trade marks or other material. You may not use them in a way that suggests a connection with Tasker without our written permission. Pros may say that they are "available on Tasker" in a fair and accurate way.

29.3 If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without paying you or owing you anything.

29.4 If you believe that content on Tasker infringes your rights, email support@tasker.ng with the details and we will look into it.

Back to top

30. Your licence to use the app

30.1 We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the Tasker app on a device you own or control, for its intended purpose and in line with these terms.

30.2 You must not:

  • copy, change, adapt or translate the app, or create works based on it;
  • decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the app, except to the extent the law allows;
  • rent, lend, sell or sub-license the app;
  • remove or hide any copyright or ownership notices; or
  • use the app to build a competing product.

30.3 We may release updates. Some updates may be needed for the app to keep working or to keep it secure. You may need to install them to continue using Tasker. Only install the app from dl.tasker.ng or an official app store listing that we link to.

30.4 You are responsible for your device, operating system and data costs. Using the app, and especially calls, uses mobile data, and your network may charge for it.

Back to top

31. Availability and changes to the service

31.1 We work to keep Tasker running smoothly, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free from errors. The app may be unavailable at times for maintenance, updates, network problems or reasons outside our control.

31.2 Some features depend on providers being switched on, such as SMS, push notifications, automatic identity checks, payments and partner services. Until a feature is switched on, the app shows it as not active rather than pretending it works.

31.3 We may change, add or remove features, services, categories or areas. If a change takes away something important that you have paid for, such as the main features of a paid plan, we will give you a fair remedy, such as a refund for the unused part.

Back to top

32. Suspension and closing accounts

Closing your account yourself

32.1 You can close your account at any time in the app settings, or by emailing support@tasker.ng from the email address linked to your account. Before you do, finish or cancel any live jobs, close your open tasks and empty your wallet. We will tell you if anything is outstanding. Time left on a paid plan is not refunded when you close your account yourself, except as set out in section 18.

When we may suspend or close an account

32.2 We may warn you, limit your account (for instance, stop you posting tasks or sending offers), suspend it or close it if we reasonably believe that:

  • you have broken these terms or the law;
  • you have given false information or failed our verification checks;
  • your account is involved in fraud, money laundering, payment chargebacks without good reason, or other suspicious activity;
  • you have put the safety of any person at risk;
  • you have repeated poor ratings, cancellations, no-shows or attempts to get around masking; or
  • we must do so because of a court order, a regulator's request or the law.

32.3 Where we can, and where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond before we take action. For serious matters, such as safety risks or fraud, we may act straight away.

32.4 If you think we have made a mistake, you can appeal by emailing support@tasker.ng within 30 days. A member of staff who was not involved in the original decision will review it.

What happens next

32.5 If your account is closed, you will lose access to it. Your open tasks are closed and the other side of any live job is told. We will help you withdraw any wallet balance, unless we are legally required to hold it or it is linked to suspected fraud that we have to report. Paid plan time is handled as set out in section 18.

32.6 Sections of these terms that by their nature should continue after an account is closed (such as those about amounts owed, disputes, liability, indemnity and governing law) will continue to apply.

32.7 We keep some information after an account is closed, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Back to top

33. Our responsibility to you

What we are responsible for

33.1 We will provide Tasker with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for doing what these terms say we will do, including checking pros before they can send offers, keeping contact details masked before a hire, sharing your exact address only with the pro you hire, looking at reports fairly, providing the paid plan features you paid for, refunding partner purchases that fail, and keeping accurate wallet records.

Your legal rights

33.2 Nothing in these terms takes away or limits any right you have under Nigerian law that cannot be taken away or limited by a contract, including your rights as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018. If any part of these terms would do that, it will not apply to that extent.

33.3 Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.

What we are not responsible for

33.4 Because Tasker is a marketplace and pros are independent, we are not responsible for:

  • how a pro does a job, the price a pro offers, or loss or damage caused by a pro or a customer, except where it was caused by our own negligence or breach of these terms;
  • payments between customers and pros, including a customer not paying or a pro not returning money, because Tasker is not a party to them;
  • anything a customer and a pro agree outside the app;
  • the services of partners, which are covered by their own terms, apart from our duties in section 26;
  • losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as power outages, network failures, strikes, floods, civil unrest or government action;
  • losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you started using Tasker; or
  • business losses, such as lost profit, lost contracts or lost business opportunity, if you use Tasker for business purposes.

Limit on our liability

33.5 Where the law allows it, our total liability to you for all claims connected with Tasker in any 12-month period is limited to the higher of: (a) the total amount you paid to Tasker in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim, such as plan fees and partner purchases; or (b) one hundred thousand naira. This limit does not apply to money we must refund to you or return to you from your wallet under these terms, or to anything listed above under "Your legal rights".

Disclaimers

33.6 Other than as set out in these terms, we provide Tasker "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not make any promise that is not written in these terms about the app, Aria, pros, partners or the results of a job.

Back to top

34. Indemnity

34.1 If you break these terms or the law, or your actions on Tasker cause a claim against us by someone else, you agree to cover the reasonable losses, costs (including reasonable legal fees) and damages that we suffer as a result.

34.2 This does not apply to the extent that the loss was caused by our own breach or negligence. If you are a consumer, this section only applies where the law allows it.

34.3 We will tell you promptly about any claim that this section covers and give you a reasonable chance to respond.

Back to top

35. Changes to these terms

35.1 We may change these terms from time to time, such as because of changes to our services, our plans, our partners or the law.

35.2 If a change is important, such as a change to plan prices, the wallet or your rights, we will tell you at least 14 days before it takes effect, by a notice in the app, SMS or email. Smaller changes, such as clearer wording, will apply when we publish them.

35.3 The date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last updated. A change does not apply to a job hired, a plan period paid for or a purchase made before the change took effect.

35.4 If you do not agree to a change, you can close your account before it takes effect. If you keep using Tasker after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms.

Back to top

36. Notices and how we contact you

36.1 We will send you notices about your account, tasks, offers, jobs, plans and these terms in the app, by push notification, by SMS or by email to the details you have given us. Notices are treated as received when they are delivered to the app or sent to your phone number or email address.

36.2 Emails from us come from addresses ending in @tasker.ng, such as noreply@tasker.ng for automatic messages. Be careful of messages that claim to be from Tasker but come from other addresses or ask for codes, PINs or passwords.

36.3 You can send notices to us by email to support@tasker.ng. Formal legal notices may also be sent by post to our registered address: [Registered address].

36.4 You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, and that electronic messages and records meet any legal requirement for communications to be in writing, as far as the law allows.

Back to top

37. Governing law and resolving disputes

37.1 These terms, and any dispute or claim connected with them or with your use of Tasker, are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

37.2 If you have a complaint about Tasker, please follow these steps:

  • First, contact our support team in the app or at support@tasker.ng. Most problems are solved here. For problems with a job, use Report a problem and the review in section 14.
  • If we cannot settle the matter within 30 days of your complaint, either of us may suggest mediation with an independent mediator in Lagos, such as the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse. Each side pays its own costs of mediation unless we agree otherwise.
  • If mediation does not settle the matter, or either side does not want to mediate, the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, will deal with it, including the small claims procedure of the Lagos State Magistrates' Courts where it applies. Federal courts sitting in Lagos may also deal with matters within their jurisdiction.

37.3 A claim between a customer and a pro about a job is between the two of them. They can use the same routes: mediation, the courts, or a complaint to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. On request, and where the law allows, we will give each side a copy of the job record.

37.4 None of these steps stops you from complaining to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission about your personal data, or to any other regulator. Nor do they stop either side from asking a court for urgent help, such as an injunction.

38. General terms

38.1 These terms, together with the documents listed in section 1, are the whole agreement between you and Tasker about using Tasker.

38.2 If a court decides that any part of these terms is invalid or cannot be enforced, the rest of the terms will still apply.

38.3 If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. Waiving one breach does not mean we waive any other breach.

38.4 We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to another company, such as if Tasker is sold or reorganised. We will tell you if this happens, and it will not reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights or duties under these terms without our written permission.

38.5 These terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship between you and Tasker.

38.6 Except where these terms say otherwise, no one other than you and Tasker has a right to enforce them.

38.7 These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version applies if there is any difference.

40. Additional terms for pros

40.1 This section applies to you if you offer services on Tasker as a pro. It adds to the rest of these terms. If there is a conflict between this section and another section on a matter that only concerns pros, this section applies.

Your status

40.2 You are an independent contractor running your own business. You are not an employee, worker, agent or partner of Tasker. You decide when you are available, which tasks to send offers on, what price to offer and how to do the work, as long as you follow these terms and the law. Tasker does not pay you a salary, pension, health insurance or other employee benefits, and does not pay you for jobs: your customers do.

40.3 You may offer your services through other platforms or directly to your own customers, as long as you follow section 23 for customers you meet on Tasker.

Joining and verification

40.4 To send offers, you must complete our verification checks, which include your NIN, a selfie and proof of your trade or experience, and choose the services you offer and the areas you cover. You agree that we may use an identity verification provider for these checks, as described in our Privacy Policy.

40.5 You must tell us straight away if anything about your verification changes, such as if your ID is replaced, you lose a licence, or you are charged with an offence connected with your work.

40.6 If you work as a business with staff or helpers, everyone who comes to a job must be disclosed to the customer in the app chat before the job, and you are responsible for their conduct and their work. You must not send someone else to do a job in your place without the customer's agreement in the chat.

Licences, tools and insurance

40.7 You must hold every licence, permit, registration or qualification that the law requires for the services you offer, and show it to us when asked.

40.8 You must bring the tools, equipment and protective gear that the job reasonably needs, keep them in safe working order, and use them safely.

40.9 Where the law requires insurance for your work, or the nature of the work makes it sensible (such as moving, electrical or vehicle work), you are responsible for getting suitable cover. Tasker does not provide insurance for pros.

Making offers

40.10 Only send offers on tasks you have the skills, time, tools and any required licence to do, in the area and at the time the task asks for. Read the task and its photos before you offer.

40.11 Your offer must be clear and honest. Say what your price covers, including whether parts, materials or transport are included, and when you can come. Do not offer a low price you do not intend to keep in order to win the job.

40.12 Once a customer hires you, the price in your offer is the agreed price. You may only charge more if the job turns out to be different from what the task described, or the customer asks for extra work or parts, and the customer agrees the new price in the app chat before you do the extra work.

40.13 Do not ask for payment before the job unless it is for parts or materials the customer has agreed in the chat. Ask for a reasonable amount, explain what it is for and give a receipt.

Doing the work

40.14 You must:

  • arrive on time, mark yourself on the way in the app, and tell the customer in the app as early as possible if you will be late;
  • check that the person you are dealing with is the customer in the app;
  • ask for the start code only once you have arrived and the customer is ready for work to begin;
  • do the work with reasonable care and skill, to a standard a customer can reasonably expect;
  • agree any parts or extra work in the app chat before going ahead;
  • mark the job finished in the app only when you have finished;
  • leave the work area reasonably clean and tidy;
  • respect the customer's home, property, family and privacy; and
  • report any accident, damage or injury at a job to the customer and to Tasker straight away.

40.15 You are responsible for loss or damage that you, or anyone working with you, cause at a job through negligence or deliberate acts. If your work turns out to be faulty because of poor workmanship, you should offer to put it right within a reasonable time, as the law expects of any service provider.

Getting paid

40.16 The customer pays you directly, at the agreed price, when the job is done, unless you agree a different arrangement in the chat. Tasker does not collect, hold or guarantee that payment, and does not take any part of it. Accept payment only from the customer, and only into an account in your own name or your registered business name.

40.17 The earnings screen in the app is a record of the agreed prices of your jobs. It is not money held by Tasker. If a customer does not pay you for work done as agreed, report it on the job. We will look at it and may act against the customer's account, but we cannot pay you in their place.

Plans

40.18 Your plan, your offer allowance, and how to pay for, renew and cancel a paid plan are covered in section 18. Joining Tasker and the Free plan cost nothing.

Taxes

40.19 You are responsible for registering for and paying any tax that applies to your income from jobs you find through Tasker, including personal income tax or company income tax, and VAT if you are required to register for it. Tasker does not handle your job income, so it does not deduct tax from it. If the law requires us to report information about pros to a tax authority, we will do so and tell you.

40.20 The app shows your jobs and the agreed prices, and receipts for your plan payments, to help you keep records.

Ratings and standards

40.21 We expect pros to keep good ratings, reply to customers promptly, and keep cancellation and no-show rates low. We may set minimum standards, which we will show in the app. If you fall below them, we will contact you and may give you a chance to improve. Serious or repeated problems may lead to suspension or closure under section 32.

Customer data

40.22 You will receive some personal data about customers, such as their name, the task and, once hired, their address. You may only use it for that task or job. You must not keep it longer than needed, share it with others, add customers to marketing lists, or use it to contact customers for any other reason. You must keep it secure and follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 when you handle it.

Leaving Tasker

40.23 You can stop offering services at any time by going off duty or closing your account. You must finish or properly cancel any jobs you have already been hired for. Time left on a paid plan is handled as set out in section 18.
